Members of the I-Network mailing list are discussing the quality of customer care from the major mobile phone and data services providers.

Here we summarise the key points raised

You are cordially invited to attend the official launch of
MobileMonday Kampala to be held at the Speke Resort Munyonyo's Meera
Hall, starting from 5 PM on Monday 8th March 2010.

MobileMonday (MoMo) is a global network of mobile industry
professionals, entrepreneurs, developers and visionaries with
chapters in over 100 cities around the world. The Kampala chapter is
the first MobileMonday chapter in East Africa. The launch of the
Uganda chapter (MoMoKLA) has been designed to coincide with the
Digital Africa Summit so as to maximise knowledge exchange and
networking opportunities between delegates at both events.

Give your experience on unsolicited phone text messages.

Currently, Uganda does not have legislation for phone spam, do we need a new law for this or can we expand the current computer misuse bill to cover it?

The Sessional Committee of Parliament on ICT will be receiving and considering views on the the Cyber Bills, namely
i) The Electronic Signatures Bill, 2008
ii) The Computer Misuse Bill, 2008
iii) The Electronic Transactions Bill, 2008
